Commercial transparency

Advertising & Sponsorship Policy

Commercial support can fund ambitious publishing, but it must never be confused with independent editorial judgment.

Clear labels

Advertising, sponsored stories, partner content and affiliate commerce are labelled in plain language where readers encounter them. Sponsored material is visually distinguishable from independent editorial work.

Editorial independence

Advertisers may define an approved campaign brief and verify factual information about their own organization, but they do not control independent coverage or receive undisclosed favourable treatment. Payment never guarantees an editorial review.

Products, samples and travel

Loaned products remain the property of the provider and are returned when practical. Material gifts, hosted travel or unusual access are disclosed when relevant. Coverage is based on reader value, not the provision of a sample.

Affiliate links

If Door & Dwelling may receive a commission from a purchase, that relationship is disclosed before or near the links. Affiliate economics do not determine our conclusions, and prices or availability should be confirmed with the seller.

Restricted categories

We may decline campaigns that conflict with reader safety, applicable law, accessibility, environmental accuracy or the publication’s values. Sustainability claims must be specific and supportable.
